Developers Robert Hardy & Michael Heijer and architect NK Architects will bring their plans for a proposed mixed-use project at 20th and Madison before the design review board this evening.
Plans call for a six-story structure that includes 180 apartments, four live-work units, and 122 underground parking spots. Considering how much parking most projects include in this area, that’s a bit of an upgrade. The project also puts a focus on improving the pedestrian experience along 19th and 20th avenues.
Per the preferred design included in the packet, residential unit sizes range from 339 square feet to 900 square feet.
Of course, there’s also plans for a roof top green amenity space, because of course there is.
The six-parcel site currently include four single-family homes and a garage that will be demolished to make way for the project. CHS notes that the developers are looking for a rezone from a 40-foot limit to 65-feet.
