Capitol Hill Studio With Old Timey Squawk Box Asks $239K

In a city full of modern condos with luxury amenities, here's an affordable throwback in great shape

The LaFlor is a 1929 building full of vintage Spanish Revival details and one south-facing studio within it's walls just hit the open market asking $239K.

There's plenty of classic condo features that have been renovated or revived in this 498 square-foot space, including hardwoods, mahogany trim, leaded glass built-ins and coved ceilings. The kitchen looks snug but a wonderful throwback. The original fireplace spot still exists though it's been replaced by an electric one that glows. Probably for the best.

The one feature we love most of all has to be the old timey squawk box phone that still hangs by the front door. The day you get tired of picking that antique phone up to let guests into the building is the day you need to move out and head to the Eastside because your heart is officially cold.

In a city full of modern condos with luxury amenities, it's nice to see a place like this still exists and in such good shape.
