Lake Union Partners and Johnston Architects head back before the design review board tonight to potentially get a recommendation on their mixed-use project planned for 3717 S Alaska Street.
The plans call for a five-to-seven story structure with 240 residential units, two live/work units, 26,100 square-feet of retail/commercial space and 245 below-grade parking stalls.
The plan is to create a one-stop living center with courtyards, multiple plaza spots and various pedestrian and retail shopper destination spots. There's also much-needed office space included in the project, one of the details often left out of South Seattle complexes like this.
Early in the process Lake Union has discussed beginning construction at the beginning of 2016 but given the delayed approvals that could hopefully begin soon, assuming the board likes their most recent updates.
