$4.9M Madison Tower penthouse sale is Seattle's biggest since 2013

Its the highest cost per square foot for a Seattle penthouse since 2010

The 24th floor of Madison Tower has been looking for new owners for some time now. The dual units, 2400 and 2401, hit the market in April 2015 asking $11M for both. They chopped $1M off that total price in November, though one could purchase either luxury penthouse unit separately as well ($4.5M for 2400, $5.5M for 2401). Turns out that the owners decided to keep 2400 but as for Unit 2401, its officially sold for $4.9M as of Monday, per Urban Condo Spaces.

Per UCS, the $4.9M sale is the highest Seattle condo sale of 2016 and only one of three to sell for over $4.5M in the last three years. Its also the 5th-highest penthouse sale in the last decade and the highest since 2013.

The 3,740 square-foot, 2-BR, 2.5-bath penthouse has the kind of Elliott Bay and Downtown Seattle views you'd assume come with that price and two decks from which to enjoy them. Its also stocked with the highest of high end amenities, including automatic blinds, custom fireplace, Wolf and Subzero appliances in the kitchen, and Lutron electronics. The condo also comes with three parking spaces, which might be the biggest luxury of them all.
