We’ll see you at the First Hill street petting zoo

The First Hill Improvement Association knows the best way to improve a community is with piglets

Some folks wonder what the point of Seattle’s ever-growing list of parklets and pavement parks is if we’re not going to make good use of them. To those people, the First Hill Improvement Association would like to say...come pet a piglet.

Thursday, August 25, FHIA is hosting a petting zoo at the University, Union and Boylston pavement park between 6 - 8 p.m.

This is actually one of a series of events along University Street funded through a grant from Only In Seattle and meant as a way to foster community. Earlier this summer FHIA hosted a summer reading party in the same spot.

The event is free and open to all humans but dogs aren’t allowed since they’d be more likely to consider this a buffet.
