Glass windows, ceilings, and floors in this $3.8M Queen Anne house

Asking $3.85M, this place gives you all the glass you can possibly handle (and maybe more)

Here in the Pacific Northwest, we've got a lot of homes that act as shrines to wood. There's even some modern odes to steel. We don't see too many houses that pay full homage to glass. That's what makes the new five-bedroom, five-bath construction at 313 Prospect Street in Queen Anne stand out. Asking $3.845M, this place gives you all the glass you can possibly handle (and maybe more).

Built by Barcelo Homes, this high-performance home combines functionality with upscale sophistication nestled in the Queen Anne foothills overlooking the Space Needle and Downtown Seattle. What really stands out if how no matter where you are, you seem to be connected to the outside via some very large and well-placed windows or glass. The main living area seems to so basic in design but has a lightness to it that fills the open space with vibrancy. Floor-to-ceiling windows take it up another level, literally. Even the dining room and the kitchen have one wall that is entirely all glass, inviting in whatever view is right outside.

Its upstairs where the whole ode to glass really comes together. You can stand on a glass walkway and look out through tall windows at the skyline just beyond or look up through the skylight to admire what's above. And of course, you can look directly below, though we'd caution you to be aware that anyone down there can look right at you, so not the best spot for dresses.

Even the master bedroom is all about the huge windows and the view, which lets you wake up to a direct view of Dowtown Seattle every morning. One curious choice was to put the soaking tub inside the shower instead of separately. Guess they figured you've had enough chances to lounge in front of windows, here's your turn for privacy.

Of course, a place like this is going to take advantage of those views up top as well. Entertain guests on the entry level outdoor deck or up above on the private rooftop deck.

As we mentioned, the place is built to be high performance. The home is Built Green certified and just some of the efficient features include low flow water fixtures, in-floor radiant heating, tankless water heating, and air tight drywall sealing.
