Perched atop a hillside in Madrona overlooking Lake Washington, the 3-BR, 3-bath that just listed for $2.4M was designed by American Institute of Architects award-winning architect Warren Pollock and completed in 1984. There's a gargoyle keeping watch on the top level but if we don't bother it perhaps we can take a look around.
Lots of elegant designs peppered throughout with floral and natural images lining columns, ceilings, and the gorgeous fireplaces. A bit of a Mediterranean influence shows up in multiple rooms and a fresco in the kitchen seems to quite literally invoke it.
Being able to relax and enjoy life inside and out seems to be the point. There's an indoor pool and back patio space that works whether it is raining or not. There's a few patio and deck spaces, to be honest. There's a stylish theater room as well as what looks like a second TV hangout connected to another bedroom. Of course there's a wine cellar too.
The seller is HomeStreet Bank’s CEO Mark Mason, recently named CEO of the Year by Seattle Business Magazine. Guess they're going for something even bigger and more luxurious to befit that title. No word on whether or not the gargoyle is staying behind.
