Big Reveal: $1.2M for this big Westlake floating home

This 1974 floating home is holding up enough to ask seven figures

Yesterday we asked you to guess the asking price for this 2-BR, 1-bath floating home in Westlake. We saw one guess on the Facebook page of $1.2 million but we're thinking that person might have had a leg up as a realtor. Also because that's literally the exact asking price.

The price also includes $425/month in HOA dues. We've seen a lot of smaller floating homes hit the market in recent weeks so here's a big one to counterbalance that. Built in 1974, this place would seem right at home on land if you didn't know any better. It's got some 70s charm thanks to the wood paneling and carpet. We like the distinct features strewn throughout, including the raised nook for the dinner table, a spiral staircase, and a sizable kitchen with booth seating. Lots of stained glass touches upstairs and down as well. The best spot has to be the "attic" nook atop one of the bedrooms with a sea captain window design to keep you company. Oh and the hot tub. The hot tub's nice as well.

So now that you know the asking price, do you think it's worth it?
