$14.9M Laurelhurst waterfront estate now Seattle's second-priciest property

It is the second-priciest listing on the market in town, trailing only the Sam Hill Mansion in Capitol Hill ($15M)

They don't make'm like this in Seattle anymore.

This 5-BR, 4.75-bath, 7,683 square-foot waterfront estate out on secluded Webster Point just hit the market asking $14,880,000. That makes it the second-priciest listing on the market in town, trailing only the Sam Hill Mansion in Capitol Hill ($15M).

The 1928 residence was designed by noted architect Arthur Loveless. Perhaps best known for the Loveless Building or the many UW structures he designed, the early 20th century master also oversaw many Seattle home creations with an eye towards Tudor Revivalism.

This estate is quite stunning to look at, whichever way you're looking at it. From the front you pass through iron gates and walk a manicured landscape towards the multicolored tile roof and Tudor touches that mark the exterior. Inside, its ornate in the best sense of the word with box beam ceilings, beautiful woodwork, and a classic aesthetic that still shines through in spite of renovations. Out back, a sprawling lawn with sport court leads towards a private waterfront with firepit beach and multi-vehicle dock. Look back at the rear of the home is just as impressive as the front.

Webster Point is full of luxury, old-world homes designed by masters of the craft and demanding millions for ownership. This one might be the best of the whole bunch.
