As Seattle expands the ways people can get around, Pronto Cycle Share has to make it as easy as possible for riders to use their service if they want to make good on the city’s goodwill.
Two recent new additions to the way Seattle gets around have prompted Pronto to move two of their stations into new locations that make a lot more sense.
As of Wednesday, there is a Pronto bike station at the University of Washington light rail station. They have relocated the UW Magnuson Health Sciences Center Rotunda station to the southwest corner of the U-Link station at Husky Stadium. This new location now provides immediate access to nearby light rail and gives those arriving an easy way to get around UW.
Meanwhile, with the Westlake Cycle Track’s grand opening set for Thursday, it only makes sense to have a bike station there as well. Pronto is relocating their Lake Union Park Station from Valley & Boren to Westlake & Aloha. The new location is still close to Lake Union Park at the south end of the new Cycle Track facility.
Pronto now has over 500 bikes spread across 54 stations located throughout Seattle. Find out more about the program and where to find stations here.
