If you're one of the many people who have been hoping to get a shot at owning one of the historic homes on Officer's Row at Fort Lawton in Discovery Park, you've got three chances left.
RISE Properties has listed 4002 Washington for $2.0 million with two more coming as soon as they are fully renovated. All three residences (4000, 4002 and 4004) are part of a thirteen-home collection originally built as housing for military officers between 1899 and 1904.
All of the homes were renovated by GGLO, who worked with the City Landmarks Preservation Board to ensure that each home’s unique historic attributes were preserved while incorporating contemporary, modern-day conveniences.
4002 Washington is a 4,027 square-foot Colonial Revival with four bedrooms and 3.25 baths. It includes all-new plumbing with on-demand hot water, new electrical systems, and hydronic heating on the main floor with energy efficient low-profile radiators on the other levels. It also comes with a newly constructed, detached two-car garage.
The kitchen has been updated with custom cabinets, quartz countertops, Miele appliances and gas cooking. Upper-level floor plans were redesigned to include a master bedroom with large bathrooms and closets. There's also a furnished brick-walled basement and fourth-story open loft that can become a media room, bedroom, or home office.
The exterior include common areas for Officer’s Row residents such as a community vegetable garden, gazebo with fire-pit, and two playgrounds.
Officer’s Row follows an earlier release of 13 homes at Montana Circle. Those homes ranged in size from 1,675 to 1,995 square feet and closed with sales prices between $800,000 and $1.2 million. There is a total of 26 homes at Fort Lawton; the 13 homes at Officer’s Row are the last residences to be offered for sale in Discovery Park.
