Former Seahawks player Marcus Trufant lists $3.25M Newcastle home

Marcus Trufant retired from the Hawks in 2014 and now he's selling his Newcastle 6-BR

Marcus Trufant is the epitome of the hometown boy made good. Born and raised in Tacoma, he played college ball for the Washington State Cougars before embarking on a ten-year career with the Seattle Seahawks. After spending a season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Trufant signed a one-day contract with his former club and retired as a Seahawk in 2014.

Even while he was in Florida, he and his wife still called the six-bedroom Newcastle estate they purchased in 2008 home. That is until now as they've listed the 9,858 square-foot residence for $3.25M.

Located on the fourth hole of the China Creek golf course, this place is the kind of opulence that you'd figure those NFL checks can get you. There's some Mediterranean style in there mixed with a modern sensibility. Massive windows showcase the living room and dining area as luxury spaces. The kitchen has a vibe we can only describe as retro meets futuristic and you'll just have to go with us on that. The sitting room comes with built-in aquariums on each side of a beautiful fireplace, one of many in the house.

Upstairs, the master suite is five-star hotel-worthy and the bathroom might actually be just as big as the bedroom. It also comes with a private outdoor patio because this is the kind of place that can't have enough patios. The rest of the bedrooms are bright and unique.

The lower level rec room is one of the standout features and looks like the kind of place we'd like to hang out all day. Between the wet bar, two-sided fireplace, and multiple television spots, you've got room for a pool table. But if ping pong is your thing you can add that instead. We're guessing Trufant is taking the No. 22 placard on the bar with him.

Oh and we didn't even get to the movie theater, sauna, home gym, and back patio with BBQ space. Cause the place comes with all of that, too. But you kinda figured that, didn't you?
