143 new condos are coming to downtown Bellevue around 2020. Vancouver-based Bosa Development broke ground Tuesday on 21-story condo tower One88.
One88 is the first batch of condos to enter the Bellevue construction pipeline in quite some time. The last wave in the late 2000s included the fraught Bellevue Towers project as well as Washington Square.
Bosa is the developer behind Seattle’s Insignia, which was completed in 2016. They’re also slated to develop Civic Square, a long-vacant block of land west of Seattle City Hall, into a 520-unit residential tower with a large public plaza.
One88’s 143 units will be a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and even three-bedroom units. In addition to a little bit of family-sized housing, the building will also feature a children’s playroom.
Other amenities include an indoor pool, a third-floor outdoor terrace, and a fitness center. Retail will fill the ground floor.

This appears to be the first Washington State project for Vancouver-based Amanat Architect. Interiors will be designed by Santa Monica-based firm Hirsch Bedner Associates, best-known for hotel interiors.
Sales won’t start on the condos until 2018, but Bosa is building a priority list on the project website.
