Seattle rent comparison: What $1500 rents you right now

A basement two-bedroom or a studio with a balcony?

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in the Seattle area. We've found six listings within $100 of today's price: $1,500.

Via Craigslist

In Ballard, this two-bedroom has 800 square feet of space and has been recently remodeled—including some shiny-looking new appliances and some pretty tilework in the shower—but it is most definitely in a basement. Rent on this place is $1,500 per month.

Via the Biltmore

In the notorious Biltmore on Capitol Hill, a studio rents for $1,495 per month. The building was finished in 1924, and it shows in the hardwood floors, antique radiator, and vintage millwork. A walk-in closet helps save a little space.

Via Link

In West Seattle by the end of the West Seattle Bridge, this sort of one-bedroom—the bedroom doesn’t feature floor-to-ceiling walls—in the pet-friendly, Built-Green-certified Link building has 651 square feet of space, an in-unit washer and dryer, and underground parking available. Shared amenities include a rooftop deck, a clubhouse, and barbecues. Rent here is $1,498 per month.

Via Northlane

In Northgate, a few blocks off Interstate 5, this midcentury one-bedroom has hardwood floors, plus granite countertops with a tile backsplash. It’s pet-friendly and rents for $1,495 per month.

Via Linden Corners

In Green Lake, just a block from the lake itself, this “true one-bedroom” with vintage cabinets and millwork features 750 square feet of space, hardwood floors, and a large kitchen. A long bonus room could be either a large walk-in closet or a den. Rent here is $1,450 per month.

Via Ori on the Ave

In the U District, this new-construction, pet-friendly, 385-square-foot studio has hardwood floors and a small balcony, plus in-unit laundry. Shared amenities include a roof deck with a firepit and a community room. Rent is $1,495 per month.
