15 aPodment Buildings & Projects Around Seattle

View as Map

No doubt you're aware of the controversy surrounding micro-apartments a.k.a. aPodments in Seattle right now. The Seattle Times is the latest to note the hubbub, mainly focused around the way these projects often avoid design and environmental review. There's also the usually-unsaid (except for this lady) sense that people who live in micro-apartments are shady and/or seedy.

We took a look around Seattle to see what's going on with aPodment buildings, from University District to Capitol Hill and even West Seattle. Below is a map of some of the city's currently-built and currently-proposed micro-housing complexes. Whether you're interested in living in one or moving far, far away from them, this map gives you a good idea of Seattle's "aPodment Zones."
