All The Seattle-Area Pot Stores Open For Business Tuesday

View as Map

Image: Chas Redmond

The first 24 pot store licenses went out from the Washington State Liquor Control Board (LCB) early this morning and we're now learning exactly where those store are. Not every one of those stores will open on Tuesday, July 8, but those that do will be able to open their doors at 8 a.m. Any pot sold to retailers has a 24-hour quarantine for inspection, so the sooner they receive it, the earlier they can open. While we already knew that Cannabis City would be Seattle's first legal pot shop, we've also found out that other stores in the region include Bellevue's Green Theory, Tacoma's Rainier on Pine and Bellingham's 2020 Solutions. In fact, both Tacoma and Bellingham will start out with more pot shops (2) than Seattle (1). Guess they're pacing us...

We'll add more details as they come in but in the meantime, start planning your Tuesday morning line-waiting with the map below.

Seattle's first legal pot shop says they'll have 10 pounds of marijuana stocked come Tuesday and they expect to be out of that by the end of the day, selling for $15 to $20 per gram.

Green Theory

Green Theory will be the first marihuana store to open in Bellevue, winning out over another pot shop planned for 200 feet away, which would actually be against the law.

Rainier On Pine

Owner Don Muridan told the Seattle Times that the store has passed Liquor Control Board inspection and will open at 10 a.m. Tuesday after a “green ribbon cutting” ceremony. He expects 400 to 500 people. They will have 60 pounds of pot for the week and will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

2020 Solutions

2020 Solutions plans to open at 8 a.m. tomorrow.

As of the moment, they're unsure what time they'll open on Tuesday. They want to open its store at 8 a.m. if possible.

Whidbey Island Cannabis Company

Located on the second floor of a small business in Bayview, the central location on Whidbey will make it easy for folks from Langley, Clinton and Freeland to find.

Bud Hut

Formerly Camano Auto Parts, this spot is located along SR 532.

Cascade Kropz

These guys also applied as a marijuana producer so they're apparently trying to cover all the bases.

"Creative Retail Management"

We're guessing that's a placeholder name. The former tenant here was Papa Murphy's Take 'n' Bake, which, to be fair, could also be used as the name now.

420 Carpenter

SO close to getting the 420 Carpenter Road address they so obviously wanted, they'll have to settle for 422. We don't think the customers will mind.
