Community Transit, Snohomish County’s public transportation agency, runs route 130, which skirts the border of King and Snohomish counties around Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, and Edmonds.

Its easternmost stop is at the Lynnwood Transit Center, just off Interstate 5; between that stop and the Mountlake Terrace station, it makes valuable connections between Sound Transit and King County Metro for those that live a little farther away from the city.

As the route winds west into Edmonds, it passes multiple schools and parks before finally ending up at another major transfer point: the Edmonds Ferry Dock to Kingston. In that way, this route fosters connections between three different counties, if you factor in Kitsap.

Someday, this route will make an important light rail connector. Currently, it can take commuters east or west from the Mountlake Terrace or Lynnwood transit stations on the 511 or 512 from downtown; with the Link light rail extension coming to those stations in 2024, this route will become even more important.

We found six notable homes along the route.

This strange, mustard-colored rambler does raise some questions—why is there a full-size refrigerator in the living room? What’s the deal with that round shower?—but it has cute bones, including French doors and a classic brick fireplace. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms fit inside 1,304 square feet, listed for $445,000. It’s sold as-is and has been on the market for more than three months, so despite some newer upgrades, we’re guessing it’s a bit of a fixer.
