Editor’s note: This map was first published in September 2017. It has been updated with the most current information.

With King County Metro route 26, we’re back to a north-to-south route—unlike the 50 last week—and back to a bus that runs through downtown. The 26 in particular runs from downtown up Aurora, and starts making more frequent stops once it exits on the outskirts of Fremont.

It then runs through Wallingford before heading up north to Green Lake. It serves edges of Lichton Springs and Maple Leaf before ending at the Northgate Transit Center right near the mall.

Along the way, it serves a couple of major parks—Gas Works Park and Green Lake Park—plus North Seattle Community College.

Because this bus has a Wallingford-heavy route, expect a thick concentration of craftsman houses—although as things move farther north, there’s a little more variety. Still, this bus serves a ton of largely single-family neighborhoods, so many of these homes don’t come cheap.

We’ve found six notable homes along the route, starting closer to Fremont moving all the way up to Northgate Mall.
