Sound Transit Route 522 is an exceedingly aptly-named bus. It runs in kind of a loop across the top of Lake Washington, largely sticking to the highway of the same number: State Route 522.
It starts that loop in Lake City, after exiting Interstate 5 from Downtown. Along the way, that takes this bus through Lake Forest Park and Kenmore, all the way to Bothell, including the University of Washington Bothell campus and then, finally, Woodinville.
While it hits a few park-and-rides along the way, it stops frequently along SR 522—so it’s more detail-oriented than, say, an express bus. Also helpful and unlike most express buses: it runs on the weekends, even early-ish mornings and late-ish nights.
The bus’s route along Lake Washington means many of these homes are along the lake, too—which is a nice touch. In one case, the home is literally on the lake.
We’ve found six notable homes along the route, from large, waterfront estates to brand-new condos.
